How much does a website cost in Barcelona in 2026?

An honest guide: real market prices, what drives them and what you are actually paying for.

Updated: · By Alex Bond

In short

Type of websitePrice in Barcelona
Landing pageA single page with your offer and a contact form€500–2,000
Corporate websiteSeveral pages about your company and services; a full one, up to €8,000€1,500–4,000
Online storeCatalogue, cart and checkout€3,000–10,000
Website with custom features or a platformBookings, client areas, tailor-made systemsfrom €8,000

Hosting and domain: €100–330 a year. Maintenance, if you need it: €30–200 a month.

Below €500, it is usually a template that has not been adapted to your business. Above that, you are paying for custom features: online payments, a client area or a connection to your systems.

Sources: price guides by markadigital.es (May 2026) and xpertix.com (July 2026), public price lists of six Barcelona studios (September 2026). Studios quote prices differently, with or without IVA (Spanish VAT), so check when comparing.

Why do website prices vary so much?

Two websites can look alike and one can cost five times more than the other. The price is not set by the number of screens, but by what the website has to do.

  1. What the website has to do

This matters most. A contact form is the baseline. Online payments, bookings, sign-up, a client area or a CRM connection: each feature adds days of development and testing.Example: a landing page for a ceramics workshop with a contact form sits at the low end of the range. The same landing page selling gift cards online is already in the middle.

  2. Size

The number of pages and sections. But ten similar pages cost less than three unique ones.

  3. Design: template or tailor-made

A template is cheaper, but you look like hundreds of other websites. A custom structure costs more, but it is built around how your customer thinks.

  4. Copy, photos and languages

Who prepares the content: you or the provider. In Barcelona a website often needs two or three languages. Today AI translates quickly into any language, but every version still has to be checked and built, and that takes time.

  5. Timeline and ready materials

A landing page usually takes 1–2 weeks; a corporate website, 3–8. The timeline itself affects the price less than you might think: what matters more is whether copy and photos are ready and the brief is clear. With everything prepared, a fast launch can cost the same; if everything has to be gathered from scratch and in a hurry, it costs more.

  6. The platform

A website builder, WordPress or custom development. It affects the cost of maintenance, and whether you can edit the text yourself, more than the launch price.

  7. What Spain requires

An aviso legal (legal notice), a privacy policy and a cookie banner with consent, as required by the LSSI and the RGPD (Spain's GDPR). Plus analytics and basic SEO setup. Cheap offers often leave these out, and you pay for them later.

How much do Barcelona studios really charge?

In the public price lists of Barcelona studios, the simplest website costs €390–900, a multi-page website €900–2,400 and an extended one up to €4,900. Market guides quote higher figures, and that is not a contradiction: a price list shows the “from” price, and the total grows as copy, features and languages are added.

Price tierListed priceWhat it usually includes
Basic€390–900Pre-built structure, one page, contact form
Mid€900–2,400Several pages, custom structure, basic SEO
Extended€1,260–4,900More pages and features, sometimes copywriting

How to read a price list: ask what the “from” price includes: copy, translation, legal pages, analytics and changes after launch. And whether IVA is included. After these questions, two price lists with the same figure can differ by a third.

What costs are not in the quote?

Besides building the website, budget for the domain (€10–30 a year) and hosting (€80–300 a year). If you do not want to handle it yourself, maintenance (€30–200 a month). Copy, photos and translations are extra if you do not have them. And if the website takes payments, the payment provider keeps a percentage of each sale.

ItemHow muchWhen you need it
Domain€10–30 a yearAlways
Hosting or platform€80–300 a yearAlways (sometimes included in maintenance)
Maintenance and changes€30–200 a monthIf you do not want to edit the website yourself
CopywritingDepends on volumeIf you do not have your own copy
PhotosFrom free stock images to a photo shootIf you do not have your own photos
Other language versionsNoticeably cheaper than the first versionIf your customers speak different languages
Online paymentsFor example, Stripe: 1.5% + €0.25 per European card paymentIf you sell online
AdvertisingSeparate budgetA website alone does not bring customers

About languages: a second version of the same page should not cost as much as the first. Structure, design and features are already done; what remains is translation, adaptation and checking the layout in the other language. If a provider charges each language as a new page, ask why.

Tip: ask for a quote with these items listed separately. When a quote is a single figure, surprises usually show up after launch.

Is a €300 website worth it?

Sometimes, yes: if you need to test an idea quickly or a temporary page for an event. But if the website has to bring in customers for years, cheap often turns out expensive: in rebuilding it and in the time lost before you know whether it works.

What to check before you pay

  1. Whose name everything is in

Domain, website and analytics should be in your name. Otherwise, when you change provider, you lose the website and your visit history.

  2. Legal pages and cookies

They are mandatory in Spain, and the AEPD (Spain's data protection agency) fines breaches in this area.

  3. How it works on mobile

Most visitors come from their phones. A slow or awkward mobile version quietly loses customers.

  4. Whether analytics is set up

Without it you do not know how many people visit or how many ask for a quote, so you cannot improve anything.

  5. What happens after launch

Whether changes in the first weeks are included, how much each change costs later and whether you can edit the text yourself.

  6. Whether you can leave

If the website runs on the provider's closed system, moving means building a new website from scratch.

If all six answers are good, a €300 website can be a good buy.

Frequently asked questions about website prices

How much does website maintenance cost per month?

Usually between €30 and €200 a month, depending on what is included: just hosting and backups, or regular changes as well. If your website rarely changes, basic maintenance is enough. If you often update prices, offers or sections, a plan with changes included is better value than paying for each change separately.

How much does a landing page cost?

In Barcelona, between €500 and €2,000. The low end is a simple page with a form on a pre-built structure. The high end is when you need a custom structure, copy, integrations or payments. The key question is not “how much” but “what is included”: copy, analytics, legal pages and changes after launch.

How much does an online store cost?

Usually between €3,000 and €10,000 or more. It depends on the number of products, payment and shipping methods, and the connection to your warehouse or management system. With few products, it can make sense to start with a landing page with online payments and move to a full store once sales come in.

Freelancer or studio: which is better value?

A freelancer is usually cheaper and, for a simple page, a good option. A studio costs more but takes care of more: structure, copy, analytics, the legal side and maintenance. The deciding question is what happens if the provider disappears: who keeps access to the website and the domain.

How long does it take to build a website?

A landing page usually takes 1–2 weeks; a corporate website, 3–8 weeks; an online store, longer. What matters most is having materials ready: with copy and photos prepared and a clear brief, the website launches sooner. We launch landing pages from one week.

Do prices include IVA?

It depends on the studio, so always ask. IVA (Spanish VAT) is 21%: on a €2,000 website, that is €420. Our prices include IVA.

Can I edit the text myself?

In most cases, yes: text and photos are edited in a visual editor, without a developer. If part of the page is built with code, such as a complex table or a calculator, it can be changed too, but it is easier to ask us: changes in the first 30 days are included.

Will my website appear on Google straight away?

A new website gets into Google within days or weeks. Reaching the top positions for competitive searches takes months and depends on the content, not just the setup. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings. We include basic SEO setup from the Inicio plan.
